This is deff one of the funnest cars at this price point that still has a 6 speed manual transmission. The new FA24 engine is better and more reliable than the last gen. Car also looks nicer than the last model.
    • Absolutely love this car

The car runs incredibly well handling is very nimble. I hear biased reviews typically people who don’t know much about tires. This car can be driven to its limits with the right tires. Subaru put a lot of thought into details not just doing what most people see as far as becoming more of a daily driver. Underneath everything from the mounts, bushings sway, arms, tie rods. Every bolt bracket have been over hauled and oversized for more durability And stability . Although on the base in premium models, I would upgrade the struts if you plan on doing any off-road or aggressive driving on a consistent basis. Also recommend upgrading to slotted rotors and premium brake pads . The car can be modified within reason for buyers who live in less regulated exhaust laws . The newer models attract many different buyers around the nation more so in areas where exhaust laws are regulated, which is why I believe they went with a lower drone in the VB models . All in all, I absolutely love this car and I think they nailed it. You can keep it as a commuter and completely stocked and still have fun with it. You can moderately upgrade it within reason to boost power sound and looks and still keep it as a commuter, you can fully modify this car to be a race car as well . I love the that Subaru thought this through to try and keep this beloved car on the market to attract more buyers at the same time keeping it original concept integrating with today’s technology but at the same time bringing a versatile concept to a wide variety market.

First Subaru. Had Mazda Miata. Drove Toyota GR86 before bought. Liked Miata better, but liked Subaruness of GR86, since never owned one before. When it came time to let go of Miata(also had CX-5 as back-up), traded them both on WRX. Now have practical four door sedan, with all wheel drive, but still stick shift, and power and cornering if want fun. Like center touch screen. Gauges very simple, and likable.
